• De-Mo Design Studio works with homeowners on renovations, additions, ADUs, and small ground-up projects throughout Los Angeles. Our focus is residential work that requires care, judgment, and an understanding of how decisions made early affect daily life later on.

The studio was founded by Nathaly Der Boghosian (De) and Felix Monasakanian (Mo), who together bring decades of experience across architecture and interior design. We’ve worked on projects of many scales, but we’re especially drawn to homes; places where design decisions are personal, enduring, and closely tied to how people live.

  • Residential projects rarely start with a clean slate. There are existing buildings, neighborhoods, budgets, and future plans to consider. Our role is to help homeowners navigate those conditions thoughtfully.

We look at the home as a whole, inside and out, present needs and future possibilities, and help shape a direction that fits both the space and the people who live there.

  • We pay close attention to how homes are actually used, where life gathers, where it slows down, how storage works, and how light moves through a day. These patterns shape the design just as much as plans or layouts.

We also think carefully about materials and how they perform in daily life. Durability, maintenance, comfort, and longevity matter.

Sustainability, for us, is less about checklists and more about making careful decisions that reduce waste, extend the life of a home, and support long-term use. Our work often builds on what’s already there, helping projects evolve naturally.

  • We’re collaborative, practical, and approachable. We value communication, creativity, and steady progress. We stay engaged through design, permitting, and construction and support our clients throughout the process.

You’re the expert in how you live. We bring experience, perspective, and care to help your home support that life.
